Review: The Elan Awards are in their second year and we were
approached by a designer to put together a world class level
show
that would reflect the creativity, energy and excitement of the
video
gaming industry. Using a combination of trussing, LED fixtures,
plasmas and video screens, we were able to create a set that was
both
impressive, yet elegant. Manipulating space and distance, we
created
dimension. Each award received a custom video, audio and
lighting
treatment to ensure that it was unique for each respective
award
recipient. When Seth Macfarlane, (creator of the Family Guy) came
in
for his rehearsal, he was amazed by the production level and
quality. This was one of those shows that looked good on paper
and
looked even better in reality.
