Review: Pontiac came to Showmax
this year by way of an advertising company to produce a cutting
edge stage presence at the Telus Ski and Snowboard Championships.
This prestigious, well attended event presents a
major challenge in a number of ways including the weather, wind,
and security. And the marketing challenges were immense. How do you
capture guest's attention with so much going on and so many things
to do. Dan Sabina took on the challenge and created three concept
areas according to Pontiac's objectives.
The main
stage featured a gruelling, 24 hour, 10 day, camp out in a car
challenge. We had to build a stage that was capable of supporting a
car, illuminate the stage day and night, and provide cover in a
sleek, cutting edge design. We pulled from our experience of doing
auto show tours across Canada and put together a package that
inspired and impressed Pontiac management and even the festival
organizers.
The big hit
of the show was the "Karaoke Car". We set up four plasmas with
umbrella covers each day and wired up a Karaoke package for all
those singers. It was non-stop fun.
As part of
our ever increasing range of services, we provided banners, and
even video games.
